Type B automatic fuses are generally used to protect lighting and socket circuits where sudden overcurrents do not occur during switching, such as home lighting, sockets and controls. During a short circuit, types B open without delay at 3-5 times the rated current. In case of any malfunction, the device that opens the circuit is activated by raising the lever. Lever-independent tripping will re-open the circuit as long as the fault persists.
